Injury and Rehabilitation in Apollo Beach and Riverview, FL

PIP-friendly chiropractic care, documentation for attorneys, and guided exercise programs to fully recover.

Florida Auto Accident Care You Can Start Today

Florida has a 14-day rule. The clock starts the moment of the accident.

If you have been in a car accident anywhere in Apollo Beach, Riverview, Tampa, Brandon, Ruskin, Sun City Center, Gibsonton or surrounding Hillsborough County, Florida law requires you to seek medical care within 14 days to keep your full personal injury protection (PIP) benefits. Even a low-speed collision can trigger whiplash, neck pain, lower back pain and lingering headaches that show up days later.

Spine-Ability handles auto and personal injury cases at both offices. Dr. David Fetherman, DC has NCV and EMG training that helps us distinguish nerve injury from muscle strain so your care plan, and the documentation that supports it, is accurate from day one. We bill PIP directly and coordinate with personal injury attorneys when needed.

Injury and Rehabilitation FAQ

PIP, VA, and recovery questions answered.

Do you treat auto accident injuries?

Yes. Auto and personal injury treatment is one of our core service lines. We handle whiplash, low back strain, sciatica, headaches, shoulder injuries and more, supported by Dr. David Fetherman's NCV/EMG training.

Do you accept PIP insurance?

Yes. We accept and bill Florida personal injury protection (PIP) directly. Under Florida's 14-day rule, you must start medical care within 14 days of your accident to preserve the full $10,000 PIP benefit.

How quickly should I come in after a car accident?

As soon as possible, and absolutely within 14 days. Many auto-injury symptoms, especially whiplash and disc injuries, do not show up for 24 to 72 hours. The earlier we evaluate you, the better the outcome and the cleaner the claim documentation.

What is Florida's 14-day rule?

Florida requires drivers to seek initial medical treatment within 14 days of a motor vehicle accident in order to keep their PIP benefits. Miss the window and your PIP coverage can drop from $10,000 to $2,500 (or be denied entirely).

Do you accept VA Community Care?

Yes. Veterans with a VA Community Care referral can receive chiropractic care at Spine-Ability. Visit our VA appointment page to start the process. Dr. David Fetherman and Dr. Deidre Deany have a particular commitment to serving our military community.

Will I need rehabilitative exercises after my pain is gone?

In most cases, yes. Acute care relieves pain, but corrective and therapeutic exercises rebuild stability and prevent the injury from coming back. Dr. Ryan Canavan, DC leads our rehab program.
